Global company opens office, talent hub in Harrisburg

Accenture is expanding its footprint in Harrisburg with a new office and Keystone Innovation and Talent Hub.

Located at 20 N 2nd Street, the new location continues the company’s commitment to Pennsylvania and local workforce development, according to Managing Director of Accenture’s Pennsylvania Public Service Practice David M. Davis.

“Our goal with the Keystone Innovation and Talent Hub is to bring together the best of Accenture’s capabilities and local talent to drive innovation that benefits our clients and the community,” Davis said in a statement. “As we focus on helping public and private sector organizations tackle their most significant challenges and opportunities, the new Hub also bolsters our people’s success with the resources and opportunities they need to grow professionally and make a difference.”

A global professional services company with approximately 742,000 people serving clients in more than 120 countries, Accenture celebrated the opening of its new office location and Keystone Innovation and Talent Hub in Harrisburg with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on June 12.

Davis called Pennsylvania a strategic market for Accenture and added that Harrisburg is home to several commonwealth clients the company has been supporting from its Philadelphia office. He said the new Accenture office in Harrisburg establishes a local presence that brings the company closer to key clients based in the area and allows for a greater impact on local communities.

“We look forward to the unique experiences and opportunities we can unlock for clients and the local community through the new Keystone Innovation and Talent Hub, the first-ever Accenture Innovation location in Harrisburg,” said Davis. “Our goal with the Hub is to bring together the best of Accenture’s capabilities and local talent to drive innovation that benefits our clients and the community.

“As we focus on helping public and private sector organizations tackle their most significant challenges and opportunities, the new Hub will also bolster our people’s success with the resources and opportunities they need to grow professionally and make a difference,” added Davis.

The Harrisburg location is a 3,100-square-foot workspace split across two floors. It offers working and meeting spaces, including open workspaces, conference rooms and private offices for our people and clients.

“We are excited about the experiences we can deliver to clients in this space,” Davis said. “What you are going to see here is a place for our talent to come together with clients.  This will be a space for us to co-create together with clients and a destination for us to showcase new breakthrough technologies, including cyber and AI.”

The Keystone Innovation and Talent Hub is the first Innovation Hub for Accenture in Harrisburg. Davis said the Hub will work to create inclusive career pathways to technology careers and support local workforce development in Harrisburg and across Pennsylvania.

“Our North America Apprenticeship Program, first launched in 2016, is an earn-and-learn model with benefits that provides a pathway to a full-time role with Accenture after a typically 12-month apprenticeship,” said Davis. “Accenture apprentices specialize in one of many unique, in-demand digital career paths, ranging from cybersecurity to cloud and AI. The program has allowed us to widen our talent pool beyond our typical sources (four-year colleges) and positively impact communities. We are striving to create apprenticeship opportunities for Harrisburg talent soon.”

Davis said the new office will support Accenture’s work in Harrisburg by focusing on what he called the three C’s – clients, communities, and the commonwealth.

“Creating value for clients and having an office here means that we can connect with the community in a much more intimate way and that will be a real part of Harrisburg,” said Davis. “The third C is, of course, the commonwealth. We care about economic growth in the commonwealth and creating new jobs and talent. This is just the beginning of our success in Harrisburg.”
