Sharp Edge is bringing a new class of targeted biosensors to the cellular biology research community. Fluorogenic Activating Protein (or FAPs) provide a more accurate and detailed detection method for cellular changes that is amendable to high-throughput screening and more detailed follow-up. He has wicked dyes, and is a CMU spin out. 5/19/15 update: they have created a molecular tracking device to detect defective routing by cells. Can be used for Alzheimers, Parkinsons, Cancer/Oncology. They have many partners and provide pre-clinical testing services. Also working with Patient Foundations. *The most revenue ever generated by a CMU spin-out.
