NEPEC is a nonprofit corporation of five private accredited colleges and universities located in Lackawanna and Luzerne counties, northeast Pennsylvania. Its members include King's College, Marywood University, Misericordia University, The University of Scranton, and Wilkes University. Their mission is to provide cost savings, service enhancements, and efficiencies to its member institutions.

Life Sciences Pennsylvania was founded in 1989 by a biotech scientist at Penn State University. Today it has grown to represent the entire life sciences industry – medical device companies, pharmaceutical companies, investment organizations, research institutions, and myriad service industries that support the life sciences in Pennsylvania.
