About
Our goal is to improve the experience and long-term outcomes (both functional and cosmetic) of skin and soft tissue injury repair. We intend to do this by enabling tissues damaged by trauma or surgery to heal faster and with less scarring. We aim to help patients who have suffered disfiguring injuries. Long-term, we anticipate our therapeutic will be used to ensure better healing of any acute injury or surgical incision. It could facilitate healing of burns, radiation injury, or chronic wounds. We also aim to improve the success of metabolically-demanding cell and tissue transplants such as fat, pancreatic islets, or bioengineered tissues.
