Aspicio Therapeutics is developing next-generation biologics to preserve and restore vision in patients with dry age-related macular degeneration (AMD).

Our goal is to move beyond therapies that only modestly slow disease progression and develop treatments that can halt disease, preserve retinal function, and potentially restore lost visual function.

We have discovered novel therapeutic antibodies and optimized their activity through advanced Fc engineering to engage key cellular pathways involved in AMD progression.

Our biologics programs target two complementary mechanisms:

1.            Resolving chronic inflammation by clustering key receptors on mononuclear phagocytes in the subretinal space, promoting their clearance and helping restore retinal homeostasis.

2.            Promoting synaptic repair and synaptogenesis through neuronal signaling to support photoreceptor connectivity, retinal circuit integrity, and visual function.

By combining disease-modifying control of chronic inflammation with regenerative approaches to restore neuronal connectivity, Aspicio aims to establish a new treatment paradigm for dry AMD.
